The sexual exploitation of children by local and international tourists is a growing concern and needs urgent attention, particularly from governments in developing countries. Tourism is a growing industry in Africa, therefore the risk of sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism (SECTT) is a rapidly growing concern in many African countries.
